Nothing to tell about. Average fast food quality and no atmosphere.
Very friendly service and an excellent kitchen. A culinary delight. Always happy.
Ramen were very tasty and the price of just under 15 € was okay. However, the waiters are very slow and we were in the restaurant for 1.5 hours even though we only ate for 20 minutes.
Food was delicious. The service was very friendly, only after dinner we had to wait a long time for someone to pay.
The service was a bit slow the second time. Very delicious dishes, to recommend. Fluffy and fresh sushi :)
If you love Japanese cuisine, this restaurant should be visited. The Miso Soup Special is an ideal introduction and whets the appetite for more. The sushi is fresh and delicious. In addition, it is always presented individually, which is a successful alternative and a real eye-catcher! The prices are reasonable, as you don't get any sushi from the gas station or supermarket here. The waiting time is the only drawback, because from time to time you have to wait for your meal. However, it is worth the wait, because it is well known that good takes time. So try it out if you feel like good sushi and are ready to pay a truly fair price for it!
A great sushi bar. The sushi is very fresh. The service quickly. The ambience is modern and relaxing. The price is a bit higher, but it's worth it. We ordered a sushi plate for two people. Was sufficient.
The sushi and the homemade lemonade were very tasty. The plate for 2 was perfectly adequate. Very friendly service. Gladly again.
Very tasty sushi. You sit well outside - because it is very central. The service is friendly and quick.
We actually like to go to Tamakuchi, but the service has always been unprofessional. When you arrive around 2 p.m., you are informed that the restaurant closes at 3 p.m. - what a welcome - you immediately feel really welcome. Only cash is accepted when paying, but the waiter has no change to give out - please pay the right amount !? You get annoyed to have given a tip straight away. On the last visit there was also the fact that the wrong food was delivered, one was persuaded to keep it and then had to pay the more expensive price for it. At some point even the actually good food no longer tastes good, too bad!
My husband and I find the restaurant to be contemporary for all kinds of events, whether with friends, acquaintances or family. Not only the nice restaurant staff was the total bestseller during my visit, but also the good ambience. I can highly recommend this restaurant! My siblings and I was there too together and each of us ordered something different, for my part I can say that I tried a little of everything and it was really good.
Not too long waiting times and the food is also quite good. The prices are very fair. But for the fact that you often hear that the Tamakuchi is supposed to be the best sushi in town, I'm a bit disappointed. It's definitely not bad, but in my opinion only good midfield in terms of taste. But since it was my first sushi restaurant, I don't know what the rest of it is like.
Good sushi, very pricey, probably because of location.
Quite ok, but unfortunately it is not possible to get smaller portions if you are not really hungry and do not want to waste food. Prices are ok, the duck meat was pretty tough. Very friendly service.
Despite all other reviews I have to say: Very good food, very kind service and everything at the right time. Different Asian food from Tom yam, sushi, duck with rice to dim sum, everything was very good.
Good food and great atmosphere, until the head waiter ruined our evening. My friends and I were in Dresden over the weekend, and in our fun, headed for a really late dinner at 9.15pm. The head waiter informed us that the kitchen was closing at 10pm so we placed our orders quick and started eating. As we ate, one of my friends found that the sauce was too salty for his taste, but since he thought the food was still delicious, he didn't send it back. Eventually he asked a younger waiter for extra vegetables so that he could eat it with the sauce, but the waiter told us that since the kitchen was already closed, the request could not be fulfilled and told my friend that he didn't have to pay for his meal. We were really surprised at the generosity, but we just thanked him and didn't think too much of it. I figured that maybe we could tip them a little more at the end for the good service. Come to paying the bill, the head waiter gave us our bills and my friend informed him about the waiter said. The HW started to raise his voice, insisting that my friend had eaten all his food and must pay regardless. He didn't try to clarify with us which waiter had waived the meal, and just made a huge fuss. HW only went away for a while when he realised that that he forgot to bring one of our bills and when he returned, he started to berate us in Vietnamese, even though we repeatedly told him that we do not understand the language. In any case, one of us could speak Vietnamese and tried to say something back, but HW kept interrupting her and refused to let her speak. She summed up what HW said afterward which was imo really unpleasant. HW questioned why we were siding with the 'German' instead of the 'Asians' and that fellow Asians should help each other. (To give some background, my friends and I are all of East Asian descent. While I am an overseas student that came to Germany, my friends are all locally born and raised and the friend that had his meal waived is a half, so he looks slightly Caucasian. We communicate in both English and German, so I have no idea where HW got the idea that we could even understand Vietnamese, but in any case, one of us was of Viet descent.) We didn't understand what he was saying at that point, so we couldn't come up with a rebuttal but it was very very very unpleasant for my friend who could understand what he was saying. In the end, the meal was waived, but we informed him that we would be leaving a bad review, to which HW shouted "No problem!" at us. We left the restaurant in disbelief and in horrible spirits. What was supposed to be a fun, relaxing getaway from our hectic lives became really sour because of this very unpleasant experience. Would not recommend this restaurant because of HW.
A beautiful restaurant in a great location by the Frauenkirche. There is a lot of choice and really delicious sushi, which is also great and creatively presented. However, I have to subtract two stars for service and waiting times. The waiters smiled but they didn't talk to us much, the soup came before our drinks, which still took about 45-50 minutes, even though not many tables were occupied. Then everything went very quickly, drinks and food were there quickly and everything tasted great. We took a lot of time with the food and sat for over an hour. During this time we were no longer served, no question whether everything was ok or whether we would like to have a drink. That's part of it for me. You quickly get the impression that the focus here is on quantity instead of quality and good service.
Food is good but waiters are extremely slow and food takes forever to be served! Waited for edamame for 35 min ?! Like how long can it take to serve Edamame? Other than that it was fine. Ps: would not recommend aperol spritz. It’s not what it’s supposed to be hahah
I don't recommend eating here. The waiters seem to have forgotten where the cards are. The tickets came after 35 minutes of waiting, but after we were still unable to order 20 minutes later, we just left. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be an isolated case.
PROS: * prices are decent * sushi very good * very good wakame soup, delicious tofu! * lemonades and delicious plum wine MINUSES: * service a bit worse, if you are in a rush, I do not recommend this place, everything is quite slow * We waited over 20 minutes to place the order * we received the soup faster than the drinks * we waited over an hour for sushi before placing an order (however, the staff informed about a longer wait, but not at an hour) Despite the service and waiting time, the food was very good, over the top! That's why I recommend it anyway!
The chairs are extremely pleasant and I find the distance between the seats particularly decent. There you don't get the feeling of having dinner like sardines in a can; That makes me and my husband absolutely happy with every visit. I find a wide range of choices and so far whatever tasted wholly what I received for my part. I haven't been so fascinated by one for a long time Inn.
Mediocre service. They got our childrens order wrong and did not offer to correct it. We just had to send it back. Sushi tempura was over cooked and the sampler platter was just "ok".
It's delicious but it comes a little late. But don't expect sushi quality in Korea. The duck rolls are not good Shrimp fried rolls are highly recommended But the shrimp dim sum came out like that.
In the best Dresden location, you can really enjoy yourself. The food tastes great. The diversity is terrific. The staff served super friendly. A restaurant where you don't just go once. We will be back.
Great food, great sushi.
Terrible food , prepared long before hours . The sushi was dry and tasteless . Unfriendly service staff . No second time for us ...
great sushi. food is a bit slow to be served but well worth the wait
Really bad!! I would recommend to avoid! The service is terrible, the food is basic but pricey. I ordered a noodle dish and got a soup instead, When I asked why the waitress yelled at me it’s written in the menu, which was not the case. The “noodles” taste like something you would buy in the supermarket and put hot water on it.
Very good food and great service. Always happy. Recommended all to visit here..
Delicious spicy food . Presentation super
Well prepared dishes that are very good and nicely presented.
Great sushi lounge, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The place is nicely decorated and the food is tasting delicious. It's presented really good as well.
Really loved it
I like delicious sushi and beer
Been there with the DDF card today. Was delicious and large portion but otherwise it would be too expensive. Nice service and fast service.
Lovely food and atmosphere
Sushi is really nice, but the service is just so-so
Absolutely horrible restaurant. Moment i stepped into the restaurant, a unfriendly guy passed by my table and said I was supposed to pay cash only. Food was terrible. Edamame was cold and not steamy hot at all. Served on a plate. Rather thrown on the plate. Too much salt in the duck dish. Dim sum was served without any sauces. Service was absolutely horrible. I asked the waitress for soya sauce to go with dim sum. She just kept the whole bottle on my table. Then I had to ask her for a small bowl into which I could pour the sauce.
Best sushi I've ever had up till now!
Nice sushi and won ton soup. Fast service.
They forgot our reservation, then just pointed at some table in the back of the restaurant without apologizing. We ordered and had to wait long on our food. Then when we asked for the bill we had to wait so long that we decided to go up to the front and pay at the register. The food was great, but because of the bad service experience I would not come here again
We are always happy to stay here, because the food is always very tasty, relatively cheap and damn beautifully decorated. Just as fresh and almost like in Japan! ?
Good sushi, just OK service.
Great sushi and great service!
One hour waiting is not acceptable
We have been waiting for our sushi around hour ?
These are not cheap but they are good sushis.
food was cold...prices not as shown outside. the bill was 10 euro more expensive than was written in the menu. Complete waste of money
While the actually food was pretty good and fresh (we got two rolls and the large sashimi plate to share), I am appalled at how we got swindled when paying. When our bill came, the printed receipt said 56€ but at the bottom where it said tip, it 62€ was handwritten. It was just my husband and me dining, so it's not like an automatic gratuity would be added like for a large party. When I tried to ask, of course they didn't speak English (the only place in downtown Dresden we'd been to that didn't...). He basically made it seem like we had to pay the higher price, though nothing was written on the menus or anywhere in the restaurant. While I handed over my credit card to pay, the waiter asked approval from my husband to put the tip on- not me ?- which he accidentally agreed to not knowing what was being asked. I ended up signing the bill and leaving because really, what could I do at that point? But that is an extremely good/large tip in Germany, especially for lunch and for the service we received (which wasn't terrible, but nothing great; we barely saw our waiter and the food took a long time to get to us- no checkups for more drinks, etc). We were forced to tip about 1-1,50€ more than we would have. Not the end of the world, but that was just so sneaky and felt like stealing. I will never go back purely because of that. In hindsight, could I have made a big deal and refused to pay? Maybe. But I shouldn't have had to, and definitely shouldn't have had to make myself look like "that customer". There was a language barrier, too, so who knows how it would have played out. I can assure you they wouldn't have pulled that with a local German. Restaurants that cheat customers don't deserve business, no matter how good the food is. Food wise: it was good, especially for sushi in Germany. Great? No.
Average sushi, dreadful service. Took 15 minutes to place our order, 20 minutes for the wrong drinks to arrive, then another 10 for the lukewarm soup. And it wasn't even busy. Don't bother.
